During your stay
Day 2:
After a good breakfast, you will go to the surfshop of the sports village, camp or partner center possibly. The surf instructor helps you find the board that fits your style, your level, your goals and your practice project.
After a good breakfast, you will go to the surfshop of the sports village, camp or partner center possibly. The surf instructor helps you find the board that fits your style, your level, your goals and your practice project.
The wave pro also explains how to properly carry your board and gives you an overview of the practice environment to face the waves with confidence.
Beginners and the less experienced go back to the basics: putting the board in the water, discovering how to glide first flat on your stomach pushed by a wave close to the edge...
For young people who have a little more experience on the board and on the waves, the instructor gives you all the tips to choose the right wave and catch it at each attempt.
In the afternoon, you will discover the “carver” which is a skateboard coming straight from California, imagined and designed by surfers. Today there is no better way to work on your surfing, the posture, the attitude, the gestures and therefore the technique in general is the same. Your skate instructor (who is also a surfer) will make the link with the surfing activity from the first session and will adapt his advice according to your level in order to accelerate your progress in the waves.
Day 3:
Today your instructor explains to you how to get back on the board. The “Take Off” soon has no secrets for you. To warm up, you will first repeat this technical gesture on the beach before experimenting with it in the water. Depending on your level of practice, you will perform this movement in one time or in several steps.
The position of the body, the feet on the board or the look are the most important technical gestures to progress.
In the afternoon, you will practice “classic” skateboarding if you wish, modules and a mini ramp are used by your instructor at each session.
Day 4:
You will take the opportunity to sleep in, chill out, participate in big games or even stroll in the nearest small village.
For the last skateboarding class to go find new curves!
Day 5:
That's it you are more and more comfortable in the water. You watch the waves like Kelly Slater. You are waiting for the right timing to row and get up on the board. The sensations of gliding give you a feeling of freedom and well-being. For insiders and experts, your instructor will explain to you how to take a direction in a wave according to its “open” side. Let's go for Surfing on the “Back Side” and on the “Front Side”.
Day 6:
You wake up with a hell of a lot of motivation. It's your last surfing day of the week.
The objective for the day is clear. You want to do a series of runs and waves to make the most of them and apply all the exercises of the week. Your instructor gives you great demonstrations in the water and is with you to give you the latest personalized advice.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.
