A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE TRIP

Pure action/Indépendance
Do you want to discover or improve yourself in climbing? This course is made for you! Enjoy beautiful landscapes in a relaxed group atmosphere!
A young product, made for young people! Your training on the computer is over, the muscles in your fingers are ready to face Roc'n Ice. From rock climbing schools to glaciers, thanks to the group atmosphere, discover the different techniques of evolution in a fun way. Low engagement leaves room for fun and discovery.
This course is ideal for a first immersion in the mountain environment and a discovery of mountaineering. 5 days of mountaineering. The UCPA Chamonix is a high mountain mountaineering and climbing school. Our objective is to bring participants to a controlled and responsible practice. Each at their own level, we aim for autonomy. Our courses are therefore organized around the learning of techniques and evolutions in “autonomous ropes” where everyone learns to ensure their safety and that of their rope companion, under the guidance and advice of a high-mountain guide or a state climbing certificate. Each program is supervised by a mountain guide or aspiring guide. Knowledge of the mountains, control of safety and logistics, he will do everything possible to ensure that you fully enjoy your stay. This course takes place in a sports village welcoming adults. The groups can thus be composed of young people over the age of 16 and adults. As specified in the commitment charter, this internship grants a great deal of autonomy. Thus, after the time of supervised activity, it is up to you to organize, after discussion with the management team, free time and your evenings, according to your projects, your desires and your expectations and according to the entertainment proposals of the sports village.

Important information

Information note
The purpose of this note is to present to you the form of mountaineering practice that we offer during our various mountaineering or climbing courses in high mountains.

...
UCPA is a mountaineering and high mountain school. Our objective is to bring participants to a controlled and responsible practice of mountaineering, each at their own level, during and after the course.

To do this, our courses are organized around the learning of techniques and principles of evolution in mountains.

This approach involves evolutions in “autonomous” teams where the trainee-participants implement safety techniques, learned beforehand. The rope then evolves without being systematically connected to a guide by a rope. These evolutions into “autonomous” teams are carried out under the guidance of the guide, which determines the modalities of these evolutions according to the level of the trainee-participants and the conditions in the field.

The trainee-participant in a mountaineering or high-mountain climbing course undertakes to accept the form of instruction offered and certifies having read this information.
