A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE TRIP

Pure sport/
In blocks and cliffs, the accessible and varied sites of the Chamonix Valley will allow you to climb in a natural environment with a view of the glaciers and the high snowy peaks.
Block and cliff, everything is there for a progression adapted to your needs and desires. The UCPA Chamonix is a high mountain mountaineering and climbing school. Our objective is to bring participants to a controlled and responsible practice. Each at their own level, we aim for autonomy.
Our stays are therefore organized around learning techniques and evolutions in “autonomous ropes” where everyone learns to ensure their safety and that of their rope companion, under the guidance and advice of a high-mountain guide or a state climbing certificate.

Important information

Information note
The purpose of this note is to present to you the form of mountaineering practice that we offer during our various mountaineering or climbing trips in high mountains.

...
UCPA is a mountaineering and high mountain school. Our objective is to bring participants to a controlled and responsible practice of mountaineering, each at their own level, during and after the stay.

For this, our stays are organized around learning the techniques and principles of evolution in the mountains.

This approach involves evolutions in “autonomous” teams where the trainee-participants implement safety techniques, learned beforehand. The rope then evolves without being systematically connected to a guide by a rope. These evolutions into “autonomous” teams are carried out under the guidance of the guide, which determines the modalities of these evolutions according to the level of the trainee-participants and the conditions in the field.

The trainee-participant in a mountaineering or climbing trip in high mountains undertakes to accept the form of instruction offered and certifies having read this information.
