The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

Reception on Sundays from 8:30am.
Breakfast (8:30 to 10:00) and distribution of equipment. Meet at 11 am with your guide to prepare for the raid.

At 13:00 departure of supervised skiing in the afternoon, in the Chamonix valley (handling of hiking equipment).

Night in Switzerland at the Napoleon Bivouac (accessible by vehicle), or in the Chamonix Valley.

If you purchased the “arrival the day before” option, we welcome you between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you plan to arrive after 8 pm, please contact the sports village (email argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr or phone) so that we can send you the code for the front door. You will then find an envelope with your name and instructions for finding your room. Dinner is served until 20:30.

During your stay

Monday - Day trip, to continue to prepare technically before the start of the raid. Night at the Napoleon bivouac or in the Chamonix valley.

Tuesday - Departure for Cran Montana and start of the raid
Ascent by cable car to Plaine Morte (2900 m), Weisshorn pass (2947 m) and descent to Wildstrubelhütte (2797 m).
Height difference at the ascent 200 m. Safety exercises.
In the afternoon, depending on the shape, summit of Rohrbackstein (2950 m about 300 m of additional altitude difference).
Overnight in Wildstrubelhütte.

Wednesday - From Wildstrubelhütte, ascent to Schwarzhorn (3105 m) and descent to Lammerenhütte (2507 m).
Height difference at the ascent of 500 m
Overnight in Lammerenhütte.

Thursday - From Lammerenhütte, ascent to Wildstrubel (3243 m) and back to Lammerenhütte.Height difference uphill 730 m
Overnight in Lammerenhütte.

The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical or organizational criteria, security requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants, according to the state of fitness of the participants.

Be sure to check the level required for the internship. If you do not have the required level, we will not always be able to offer you another program.

Friday - From Lammerenhütte, ascent to Schwarzhorn (3105 m) and descent through the Outan Valley, to Cran-Montana.

Even though Zermatt and the Matterhorn are the most famous spots in Switzerland, the Swiss Alps contain incredibly preserved and wild peaks, peaks and valleys. From the canton of Valais in the south with Saas Fee, the Matterhorn, the North Face of Monte Rosa, the North Face of Monte Rosa, the Simplon region which allows you to go down to Italy and the lakes, via the Upper North Oberland (Les Diablerets, Gstaad...) or even the Grisons region and the Ortles Massif, the Swiss Alps are a playground in which ski touring routes are endless..
