SPOT
The Dolomites mountains
Italian mountain pastures
The Dolomites are imposing mountains in the Italian Alps, near the border with Austria. Recognizable by the rock spires that rise above the mountain pastures, the Dolomites peak at 3343 meters (summit of La Marmolada). Places for hiking, climbing and via ferrata, the Dolomites offer magnificent routes through the various national and regional parks. Among the other curiosities of the region, traditional livestock farming is still practiced in the mountain pastures by the local population.
