The program

Day of arrival

Reception on Sundays from 2 pm by our teams and installations in the cabins.
Meeting to present the stay at 6 pm followed by a welcome drink and then presentation of the activity and the course of the stay.

If you plan to arrive after 19:00 please let us know in advance. After 19:30 p.m., an envelope in your name containing all the accommodation arrangements and the next day's meeting places will be available to you on the reception desk, in a basket. Dinner is served between 19:30 and 20:30.

If you purchased the option that arrived the day before, please show up at the sports village on Saturday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Your room will be available upon arrival.

During your stay

Monday - Discovery of the mounts, contact and preparation of outings, courses in varied terrain, carried out during a career.

Tuesday - In the morning, course in varied terrain, carried out as a career followed by an introduction hike, to discover the Jordanne Gorges.

Wednesday - Introduction to ethology with work on foot Wednesday morning, exercises to connect with the horse. Wednesday afternoon free to stroll around the center and rest.

Thursday - Hiking day starting from Lac des Graves, stroll in the direction of the village of Saint Simon to discover viewpoints radiating from the bottom of the Jordanne Valley. Picnic surrounded by nature, in the middle of the historic site La Motte Féodale.

Friday - Hiking day starting from Lac des Graves for a Cantalian steppe, to discover the Coyan plateau. Picnic in the middle of nature (the night is spent at the UCPA center).

Each participant is responsible for their mount throughout the week.

The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

Last day

On Saturday, free morning to enjoy the village and the surroundings. End of the stay at 2 pm.

You who love wild nature, the Gorges de la Jordanne welcome you with family and friends. Cross footbridges and suspension bridges. Take advantage of existing routes. Stroll through this green Cantal Auvergnat along the banks of the river that flows into the Cère. Discover the Cantal Mountains, a landscape and a folklore rich in emotions. Are you sporty? The Monts du Cantal sports village is composed of a common restaurant area, cool zone, wifi zone. The accommodations are chalets - cabins with 3 beds (2 on the ground floor, 1 upstairs). The showers and toilets are outside these chalets, in a sanitary block in the immediate vicinity.

You are coming by car From Aurillac, take the direction of Puy Mary or Jordanne Valley. Follow the D17 road to the village of Lascelles (17 kilometers after leaving Aurillac).

The sports village is located at the entrance of the village on the right, in front of the police station (follow the UCPA signs). From the A75 (Paris, Clermont-Ferrand, South of France): Leave the A75 in the direction of Murat. Cross Murat, follow the national road to Saint-Jacques-des-Blats (5 km after Lioran). Take the road on your right in the direction of “Vallée de la Jordanne”, Col du Perthus, Mandailles for 20 km (small mountain road). In Mandailles, turn left in the direction of Aurillac on the D17 to the village of Lascelles (10 km after leaving Mandailles). Travel time: 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes after exiting the A75 motorway. Aurillac SNCF station 21 km away. Aurillac Tronquière airport 22 km away. No transfer possible by bus from Aurillac to Lascelles in July and August. A shuttle between Aurillac station and the center is possible (optional €15) by contacting the UCPA sports village at the address: montsducantal@ucpa.asso.fr
