The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
If you purchased the “arrival before” option, please show up at the Argentière sports village between 5 pm and 7 pm on Saturday.
If you arrive after these hours, please ask for the code in advance by email at: argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr
Access to the sports village is closed from 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and from 7 pm on other days.
During your stay
Objective of the session: Test your level and look for progress.
Tuesday - Morning: Hike between Flegère and Planpraz, facing Mont Blanc. Little difference in altitude thanks to the cable cars.
Afternoon: Recovery or training in a fun way through a mountain bike session.
Objective: To make the legs turn and to seek sensations.
Wednesday - Morning: Hike to cross the Plan de l'Aiguille (ascent by cable car)/Montenvers (descent with the cog train). It is an opportunity to discover the Mer de Glace.
Afternoon: Climbing session that brings sensations, (foot) technique and muscle strengthening. Qualities necessary to improve your running.
Thursday - The first half day is devoted to yoga while the second takes place in a spa for a moment of relaxation.
Friday - Hike race on the Aiguilles Rouge ridges (long day trip). It is time to review your stay with your guide and return the equipment.
Attention: Check that you have the required level for the stay. UCPA cannot always offer another program.
The course of this program is given for information purposes only.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

The Mont Blanc Valley is THE trail valley. It offers trails of different lengths, from Servoz to Vallorcine, via Les Houches, Chamonix and Argentière. During the summer season, it attracts a large number of trailers from around the world. Among the selected courses, choose the one adapted to your performance to run in the heart of mountain ranges. Enjoy nature, forests, valleys, streams and other meadows. Thanks to “trail running”, discover splendid landscapes allowing you to recharge your batteries or to prepare for your next race.

Get off at Argentière SNCF station (changing at Saint-Gervais/Le Fayet), located 50 m from the UCPA sports village. Check the destination of the train: the UCPA is located in Argentière in Haute-Savoie (74) and not in Argentière-les-Écrins (05).
You are coming by plane:
The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, a 1.5-hour shuttle from Chamonix. For shuttle schedules, consult the Tourism Office website.

You are coming by car:
Take the white highway to Chamonix, then the national road 506 to Argentière, 8 km up from Chamonix. The UCPA sports center is located 50 m from the SNCF train station. There is no parking within the UCPA sports center. However, it is possible to find free but limited parking spaces in the village.
To preserve the planet and not have worries (snowy roads in winter, difficult parking), if possible, prefer public transport.
