This week, in the company of specialist trail instructors, allows you to master your effort and develop basic trail techniques, before tackling your first routes in the heart of a valley that is internationally renowned in the world of trail running.
Let the Mont-Blanc trails lead you into a very dynamic stay. Trail and multi-sports improve your physical fitness and your resistance to effort. You are supervised and advised during these 5 days by specialized trail coaches, come and experience surpassing yourself. Climbing, circuit training and mountain biking complete your program to help you progress as best as possible.
During moments of relaxation, you have access to the pool and visits are offered at the end of your stay. The highlight of the trip: a one-day trail run to test your abilities on a 20 km objective. Course of 6 to 15 km in the mountains (20 km on the last exit). From 200 to 600 m (and more on the last exit) of altitude differences. 10 sessions (including 2 continuous days) supervised by mountain guide instructors specialized in trail, mountain biking, climbing, from Monday to Friday.

The program

Day of arrival

Reception on Sundays from 10 am, ideally before 5 pm.

There is no supervised activity on the day of arrival, so you can arrive quietly from 2 pm (but ideally before 5 pm), to take possession of your accommodation and receive your sports equipment.

You can also take advantage of suggestions for independent activities (the sports village is close to the start of hiking trails for example), the swimming pool and the village of Argentière.

Welcome time at 6 p.m.

Access to the sports village is closed from 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 7 pm on other days.
If you arrive after these hours, please ask for the code in advance by email at: argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr

If you purchased the “Arrival the day before” option, please come to the Argentière sports village on Saturday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

During your stay

Monday morning - Field race hike, slightly hilly course.
Physical and technical level assessment. Awareness and information on trail “techniques”.

Afternoon - Circuit training and workshops with “foot” work, VMA session, athletics range, then stretching for a return to calm.
Objective of the session: test your level, physical training session looking for progress.

Tuesday morning - Hiking on the magnificent balcony path between La Flegère and Planpraz, facing Mont-Blanc.
Few differences in altitude thanks to the cable cars.
Afternoon - Recovery or training in a fun way through a mountain bike session.
Objective: to make your legs turn and search for sensation.

Wednesday morning - Race hike on the Plan de l'Aiguille crossing (cable car ascent)/Montenvers (descent with the Montenvers cog train). Perhaps the most beautiful hike in all the Alps. Discover the Mer de Glace. In the background, Les Grandes Jorasses.
Afternoon - Rock climbing session. The fun side of the activity will bring you sensation, technique (foot) and muscle strengthening. All this will help you for your running sessions.

Thursday - Yoga half day. Followed by a half-day in a spa for a well-deserved relaxing break.

Friday - Long day trip. Hiking on the crests of the Aiguilles Rouges.
Assessment of the stay. Restitution of equipment.

Be sure to check the level required for the stay. If you do not have the required level, we will not always be able to offer you another program.

The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

Saturday - Casual morning. Possibility to visit the chalet in the Aiguilles Rouges reserve, or visit Chamonix (independently, free bus).

The Mont Blanc Valley is THE trail valley. It offers trails of different lengths, from Servoz to Vallorcine, via Les Houches, Chamonix and Argentière. During the summer season, it attracts a large number of trailers from around the world. Among the selected courses, choose the one adapted to your performance to run in the heart of mountain ranges. Enjoy nature, forests, valleys, streams and other meadows. Thanks to “trail running”, discover splendid landscapes allowing you to recharge your batteries or to prepare for your next race.
