The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

Day 1 - The start of the vacation
The UCPA site in Malta/Gozo welcomes you from 16:00. It will be an opportunity to settle in, meet and discover the magnificent Xlendi Bay.

...
Travelling with UCPA?
> Departure by plane during the day, and arrival at the airport less than 3 hours later. From the airport, a shuttle takes you to the pier, then cross by ferry, and taxi to the UCPA site (count about 2 hours from the airport).
Flight schedules will be known a few weeks before departure.

During your stay

The challenge of your vacation week is above all to make you happy, to share your experiences with the other enthusiasts of the UCPA group and to (re) discover diving.
...
This beginner's stay is a diploma, since you are aiming for the PADI “Open Water” certification.

This takes place in two stages: a theoretical part and a practical part.
As for the theoretical part, the teams on site contact you a few days before with an e-learning link, to start the courses before your arrival, at your own pace. Then on site, it's time for the dives, with 8 dives, spread over 4 days, including a day of exploration diving
Most of the diving is done in Xlendi Bay, which is a very easy and rich spot. Other diving spots may be offered during the week depending on the conditions.

The program below is for information purposes only and may constitute changes on site, depending on weather conditions:
D2 to D5:8 dives, organized at the rate of 2 dives per day
Day 6: free day. Possibility to book additional dives, at an additional cost on site, or to discover the island of Gozo at your own pace
Day 7: day off for everyone.

Last day

J8 - The return
After a rich and intense week, the stay ends on Saturday around 11 am.

Travelling with UCPA?
...
The transfer to the airport, then the flight to Paris is done during the day. Flight schedules will be known a few weeks before departure.

SPOT

The island of Gozo

The Island of Gozo is a jewel of the Maltese archipelago, steeped in history, with its picturesque landscapes and crystal clear waters. Whether you are looking for nature and tranquility or lovers of unforgettable diving, Gozo offers a peaceful and exotic living environment for a vacation in Europe. As for diving, the archipelago is renowned worldwide for its underwater landscapes such as the Blue Hole, its shipwrecks accessible from level 1, such as the P31 wreck, or even its mysterious caves, such as those of Comino. The island has more than thirty diving spots nearby, for all levels, which will allow diving to be adapted every day according to the best conditions. And when you're not diving, it's a charming destination to visit, with the majestic Citadel of Victoria, typical small villages and the almost lunar saltworks scenery.

Hosting

Xlendi Bay Apartments

Gozo is the most authentic island in the archipelago. You are staying in apartments, in the heart of the village of Xlendi, a small critic preserved from mass tourism, and 100 meters from the sea and the partner diving club.

The apartments are typically Gozitain. You share the apartments, since they have several rooms for 2 people, a kitchen, a living room, bathrooms, as well as a balcony/terrace. You can book a single room in one of these apartments at an additional cost and depending on availability, and for specific requests for room sharing (couple, duo, etc.), you can contact the center directly.
