The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

Day 1: Welcome and first hike in Mercantour.
Meeting with your mountain guide in Saint Martin de Vésubie (see Access/Appointment).

Then transfer for 15 minutes by minivan to reach the start of the hike at an altitude of 1500m.
We climb through larch trees along a beautiful river. An ascent to Lacs Besson, 2 very beautiful alpine lakes in a mineral setting is possible if the weather conditions allow it. We then go down to the mountain hut where we will try to observe the ibex in this preserved setting.
Hot meal and night in the warm atmosphere of the refuge, in the heart of the Mercantour Park.
Height differences: +800m/-200m. Distance: 8km.

During your stay

D2: Lake Trecolpas - Pas des Ladres - Madonna of Fenestre
We leave in the direction of Lake Trecolpas, a pretty lake hidden behind a glacier lock.

We will then walk along a path to reach and cross the Pas des Ladres and then we can make a variant to go through the Fenestre pass which is a pass steeped in history and set foot in Italy.
After the lunch break, we will go down to the Madonna di Fenestre refuge with another beautiful lake on our way.
Meal taken at the shelter and night in a tent that we will set up together.
Height differences: +500m/-600m. Distance: 7 km.

Last day

D3: Pas de Maeris - Boréon - St Martin de Vésubie
We will leave in the direction of Pas de Maeris by a path on the mountainside that allows us to climb quietly to a pretty plateau where half-wild horses frolic in freedom.

Descent to the Boréon in the forest to finish our loop.
End of the stay in the early afternoon.
Height differences: +400 m/-600m. Distance: 6 km.

Free time until 15:30, departure time of the scheduled bus that goes down to Nice (not included).
Many possibilities are available to you such as going to visit the Wolf Park, strolling in the village of St Martin de Vésubie, going to try your hand at the indoor canyon, climbing or swimming in the Vesubia Mountain Park (book in advance if you are interested in the canyon).
