SPOT
The peak of Piagu
Ridge with a breathtaking view of the Mercantour
Located in the Alpes-Maritimes, the peak of Piagu is hidden in the heart of the Mercantour National Park. It is reached during a hike through Saint-Martin-Vésubie. Ascending without much technical difficulty, its 2,338 m is a good training course before attacking the neighboring peaks, such as Mont Ponset, which culminates at almost 3000 m. From the top of this ridge, you have a magnificent view of the Southern Alps and the mountains that form the natural border between France and Italy. Under the snow, the landscape is simply magical.
