SPOT
The Pozzi Glacier Valley
Valley with a thousand holes of water in the heart of Corsica
In the heart of Corsica, at the foot of Monte Renosu and a little to the west of the GR20, lies the Pozzi glacial valley. It can be reached from the winter sports resort of Ese or from the town of Bastelica. The Pozzi are natural wells in the grassy lawns of the valley. These water pearls are mainly found around lakes, such as Vitalaca. Cows and pigs graze there in complete serenity, maintaining the fragile balance of the place. There are still several sheepfolds in the Pozzi Valley that still practice traditional transhumance.
