The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
There is no supervised activity on the day of arrival, so you can arrive quietly from 2 pm (but ideally before 5 pm), to take possession of your accommodation and receive your sports equipment.
Access to the sports village is closed from 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 7 pm on other days.
If you arrive after these hours, please ask for the code in advance by email at: argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr
If you purchased the “Arrival the day before” option, please come to the Argentière sports village on Saturday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
During your stay
This independent day can also be postponed to the last day of the program depending on the conditions.
Day 2 - In the morning technical session (balancing, braking, handling) on the Moraine site.
In the afternoon, go to and from Chamonix, via magnificent forest trails.
Day 3 - Direction the Swiss border to Le Chatelard, by the famous stagecoach trail, mountain biking on the Tour area and back to Argentière.
Please check the level required for the stay. If you do not have the required level, we will not always be able to offer you another program.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.
Last day
From there you will make a loop that will offer you some of the most beautiful postcards of the Mont Blanc valleys.
Your rooms must be vacated and cleaned before 9 am (luggage and showers available).
Possibility to spend an additional night in the UCPA sports village in Argentière depending on availability, at an additional cost.
To be booked directly at the sports village at the beginning of your stay.

Address and access
Get off at Argentière SNCF station (changing at Saint-Gervais/Le Fayet), located 50 m from the UCPA sports village. Check the destination of the train: the UCPA is located in Argentière in Haute-Savoie (74) and not in Argentière-les-Écrins (05).
You are coming by plane:
The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, a 1.5-hour shuttle from Chamonix. For shuttle schedules, consult the Tourism Office website.
UCPA has a partnership with the shuttle company Mountain Drop-offs. Discount code: UCPA1415.
You are coming by car:
Take the white highway to Chamonix, then the national road 506 to Argentière, 8 km up from Chamonix. The UCPA sports center is located 50 m from the SNCF train station. There is no parking within the UCPA sports center. However, it is possible to find free but limited parking spaces in the village.
To preserve the planet and not have worries (snowy roads in winter, difficult parking), if possible, prefer public transport.

You have some mountain biking or BMX experiences. You master the basic techniques (gear change, braking dosage, grip management). You are able to cross a step of about 15 cm both uphill and downhill. You have discovered the practice of mountain biking on various terrain (bumps, slopes, roots, steep passages, stones). You drive on blue or red routes. You will discover some advanced techniques, bunny up, hairpin turns or jumps, skidding, small jumps...

Restauration
From Monday to Friday, lunches are in the form of a picnic (ingredients made available in the form of a buffet, at breakfast time, you will carry your picnic every day).
Also remember to bring a water bottle.
For daily activities, grocery items are provided, however, if you are a heavy consumer of cereal, chocolate or energy bars, we advise you to bring some as well.

From Monday to Friday, lunches are in the form of a picnic (ingredients made available in the form of a buffet, at breakfast time, you will carry your picnic every day).
Remember to take a “lunch box” or equivalent to carry lunchtime salads in your bag. To avoid overconsumption of plastic and disposable packaging, it is not provided.
