The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
Reception on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. Lieutaud agency in Vaison-la-Romaine (bus terminus). Gathering your personal belongings at the cottage, eating at the cottage, preparing hiking bags then shuttle vehicle to drop off “in the middle of nowhere” in the early afternoon.
Let go of the need for control because in nature it is necessary to accept hazards, to make do with what there is, to let go of our requirements for perfection, completely safe or always more, to return to our essential needs.
Looking for shelter for the night.
Looking for shelter for the night.
During your stay
D2 - Walk to randomne, in Old French “to walk at random” which then gave rise to the word “hike” and reopen our senses to what surrounds us.
Smell the sense of the wind before setting up the bivouac, walk and orient yourself according to the sun or discover the virtues of a wild plant, in direct connection with nature, all our senses alert.
Night outside.
Day 3 - Relearn the actions of our ancestors. All our actions must be rethought in terms of their impact, of what they symbolize in relation to nature. Entering into the mind of the gatherer, rather than that of the farmer, changes our view of nature and our attitude. New night outside.
Day 4 - Enjoy the break with world news. Enjoy the silence of nature. Recover the simplicity of exchanges in small groups. Show solidarity in the face of the unexpected challenges of a new and sometimes destabilizing daily life.
Back to civilization at the end of the day.
Meal and night at the cottage in Vaison la Romaine.
The course of this program is given for information purposes only.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).

SPOT
Vaison-la-Romaine
Ancient city of arts and history in Provence
Located in Vaucluse, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Vaison-la-Romaine develops at the foot of Mont-Ventoux, the “giant of Provence” which culminates at 1,912 m. Surrounded by seven hills, like its big sister Rome, Vaison is crossed by the Ouvèze. This slow-flowing river can sometimes swell with water, as evidenced by the high walls and high bridges above its bed. Vaison, a city of arts and history with a rich heritage, offers visitors and hikers its ancient remains and medieval architecture.
