The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

Reception from 8:30am.
Breakfast (8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.), accommodation (in the morning, you have a secure room available to leave your luggage), provision of equipment and the ski pass valid from the first morning.

1st class in the afternoon. You are strongly advised to arrive in the morning to benefit from your first session with your instructor on Sunday afternoon. During this session, you get to know your equipment and discover your first sensations of skiing.

If you purchased the “arrival the day before” option, we welcome you between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you plan to arrive after 8 pm, please contact the sports village (email or phone) so that we can send you the code for the front door. You will then find an envelope with your name and instructions for finding your room. Dinner is served until 20:30.

It is not possible to reserve rooms, however, we will do our best, depending on availability, to satisfy your request upon arrival.

During your stay

4 sessions on J2&J3

You've never skied before, so this is your chance to get started. During these 4 days, you will discover your equipment and the basic principles of skiing.

On green and potentially blue trails, you will learn to control your speed and your trajectories, while engaging more and more on the slope. Mastering the basic technical gestures of braking and cornering is acquired quite quickly, which will allow you to quickly take maximum pleasure in practice. So... happy descents!!!

Last day

Return of the rooms at 9 am, showers and luggage will be at your disposal.
After a last day of skiing, return of the equipment no later than 5.30 pm and end of the stay at 6 pm.

Val d'Isere ski area

A ski area open all year round!

The village resort of Val d'Isère offers sliding on the slopes of the Olympic Games and the World Ski Championships. This typical Haute-Tarentaise resort is open all year round and shares 10,000 hectares with its neighbor Tignes accessible to all to discover the joys of skiing. The ski area includes 300 km of snowy slopes up to 3400 m above sea level. The Val d'Isère - Tignes area has 161 slopes (21 green, 69 blue, 44 red, 25 black and 2 snowparks) and 75 ski lifts. It is also an exceptional off-road area: the Tour and the Shoulder of Charvet, the Forêt de la Daille, Cugnai, the Danaides or even the Lost Valley with a feeling of “end of the world”.

You are coming by car: Take the N90 to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, then the N202 towards Val d'Isère/Col de l'Iseran. In Val d'Isère, the UCPA sports village is located 150 m on the right after the tourist office roundabout (4th roundabout after entering Val d'Isère).

Attention, many mountain passes are closed in winter (even if the GPS can affirm the opposite). UCPA outdoor car park adjacent to the sports village, within the limit of available spaces (reservation is not possible). Parking fees: Week: 50 euros/Break 3 or 4 days: 30 euros/Weekend: 20 euros. A deposit of an additional 50 euros will be required for the loan of a magnetic badge. Attention, parking can only be allocated during reception opening hours. You are coming by train: Bourg-Saint-Maurice SNCF station located 35 km from the UCPA sports village. Take the ALTIBUS bus company (information and reservation on https://www.altibus.com/). Price: 12.50 euros one way (price may be modified by the company). Return tickets must be booked 72 hours before departure with ALTIBUS coaches.
