During 10 sessions, you progress between wild rivers and cliffs with varied hikes in the heart of a rich cultural heritage. The long-distance hiking trails of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostela and Stevenson make the Massif Central a renowned place for hiking.
Walking allows you to access remote places to discover this region from a unique perspective.
You leave for the day for a hike in the vicinity of Prades and the Allier Gorges and two days in stages on the Compostela paths. Also explore the unique heritage of the region during an outing in Le Puy-en-Velay, a renowned medieval town.

The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
Reception on Sundays between 4pm and 6pm.

First evening, knowledge games evening in order to create a warm atmosphere from the first evening throughout the week.
During your stay
Day 1 - Hike of 14km (450 D+) on the banks of the Allier in the direction of Pont Gibert, an atypical village in the region.
From there, you get the plateau to find the Prades rock.
Day 2 - A visit to Puy en Velay, focused on the culture and history of the city and the Camino de Compostela. In the afternoon, you leave on THE path, with a night in a cottage. Pilgrim atmosphere guaranteed.
Day 3 - Back on the road on one of the most beautiful parts of Compostela, between Montbonnet and Monistrol-d'Allier. Night in a UCPA bivouac. You will need to bring food, floor mats and duvet for that night. You learn to pack your bag at the beginning of the week to prepare for this day of hiking and to discover the experience of a pilgrim.
Day 4 - Departing from Monistrol, you reach the center by following the river, you take the GR 470 from Auvergne.
Day 5 - Day hike around Prades, to conquer Notre Dame d'Estours. (14km, +/-600m). At the end of the day, stretch and relax to relax the muscles and the brain to end the week well.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

The Haut-Allier Gorges, a preserved nature
A tributary of the Loire, the Allier remains one of the last wild rivers in Europe populated by Atlantic salmon and various fish species. In this country of volcanoes, water and valleys, the cities of Puy-en-Velay, Brioude and Langeac are particularly located. The Haut-Allier Gorges are ideal for activities in contact with nature. Hiking and mountain biking trails await you, as well as rafting, kayaking and climbing sports. Enough to spend an excellent vacation in this green spot.

The restoration takes place at the UCPA center in Haut-Allier. An all-you-can-eat self-service consisting of three to four starters to choose from, a main course (starch, vegetables), meat and fish at each meal, cheese and several desserts to choose from at each meal.
