The program

Day of arrival

Reception in the morning from 8:30am.
Breakfast (8:30am to 10:00am), accommodation, provision of equipment and the package valid from the first day of the stay.

A first lesson with your instructor is given on Sunday afternoon (departure at 13:30 for the first sliding session on suitable terrain). Your presence is essential to be able to follow the group for the rest of the week.

In the evening, the UCPA team welcomes you for a drink to give you all the information about your stay (constitution of groups, appointment times, highlights of the week, etc.)

If you purchased the “arrival the day before” option, the reception is between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you plan to arrive after 8 pm, please contact the sports village (email: argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr or phone) so that we can send you the code for the front door. You will then find an envelope with your name and directions to find your room. Dinner is served until 20:30.

During your stay

From Monday to Friday 4 and a half days with your instructor and cold meal on the slopes.
If you have never practiced skiing, this is an opportunity to get started.

During this week, you will discover the equipment and the basic principles of skiing.
On green and potentially blue trails, you learn to control your speed and your trajectories, while engaging more and more on the slope. You are provided with the mastery of the basic technical gestures of braking and cornering, which allows you to quickly enjoy the practice.

The course of this program is given for information purposes only.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical or organizational criteria, security requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants, according to the state of fitness of the participants.

After a last unsupervised morning, return of the equipment on Saturday before 12 noon.

Chamonix Valley ski area

A ski area at the foot of Mont Blanc

Unlike ski areas, Chamonix is a high-altitude town surrounded by several ski areas (Tour/Vallorcine, Lognan/Les Grands Montets, La Flegère/Le Brévent). They allow for varied skiing thanks to the omnipresence of the glaciers and Mont Blanc. The valley offers 160 km of trails for all levels culminating at an altitude of 3800 m. They are served by 63 ski lifts, as well as an important off-road area.
