The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
Breakfast (8:30am to 10:00am), accommodation (in the morning, you have a secure room available to leave your luggage), provision of equipment and your ski pass valid from the first day of the course.
In the evening, during the Welcome Time and over a welcome drink, the UCPA staff gives you all the information concerning UCPA, life in the sports village, the supervised sessions that start the next day: constitution of groups, appointment times, highlights of the week.
If you purchased the “arrival the day before” option, we welcome you between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you plan to arrive after 8 pm, please contact the sports village (email argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr or phone) so that we can send you the code for the front door. You will then find an envelope with your name and instructions for finding your room. Dinner is served until 20:30.
During your stay
You've never skied before, so this is your chance to get started.
On green and potentially blue trails, you will learn to control your speed and your trajectories, while engaging more and more on the slope. Mastering the basic technical gestures of braking and cornering is acquired quite quickly, which will allow you to quickly take maximum pleasure in practice. So, no more excuses, let's go for a great week to learn... to quickly have fun.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical or organizational criteria, security requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants, according to the state of fitness of the participants.
Last day
Check out of your room no later than 13:00.
SPOT
Chamonix Valley ski area
A ski area at the foot of Mont Blanc
Unlike ski areas, Chamonix is a high-altitude town surrounded by several ski areas (Tour/Vallorcine, Lognan/Les Grands Montets, La Flegère/Le Brévent). They allow for varied skiing thanks to the omnipresence of the glaciers and Mont Blanc. The valley offers 160 km of trails for all levels culminating at an altitude of 3800 m. They are served by 63 ski lifts, as well as an important off-road area.
