SPOT
Samarkand
The cultural crossroads of great civilizations
Samarkand is a city in Uzbekistan, rich in historical monuments. A crossroads of Hellenistic, Persian, Turkish and Mongol civilizations, Samarkand keeps precious traces of all its eras. The archaeological site of Afrasiad reveals wall paintings and objects dating back to 500 years before our era, including the oldest known chess pawns. Other more recent sites, but just as remarkable, such as the Chah-e-Zindeh necropolis, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, the Registan (ancient heart of the city of Samarkand) and the tomb of the Prophet Daniel, are essential stops during your stay in Sarmarcande.

220 V/50 Mhz, provide a specific adapter.
NB: you are going to participate in an “adventure” program, a travel formula that is totally different from conventional tourist circuits: the discomfort, the unexpected, the health conditions, which we may encounter, suppose everyone has a good spirit of tolerance and a taste for adventure.
Through your active and positive participation, you will contribute to the cohesion and good understanding of the group, which is a guarantee of the success of the trip.
After 2 days of hiking in the Chimgan Mountains, the discovery of the steppes and cities of the Silk Road, and a hike in the Kizil-Koum desert, the trek in the mid-mountain massif Yanguiliksay (2170 m) includes 3 easy stages, accessible to anyone in good physical condition able to walk 3 to 5 hours a day on mule trails.
Personal belongings, collective equipment and supplies are carried by pack mules that we meet every evening.
You will therefore only carry the day's essentials in a small backpack (lunch, sweater, jacket, camera, i.e. 4 or 5 kg).
To make the most of it
To fully enjoy your hike, it is essential to arrive in good physical shape. Jogging, biking, gymnastics, dancing, swimming, everything is good!
During a walk in the forest, test your shoes well before departure, as they are poorly adapted and could ruin your stay.

Individual pharmacy: UCPA plans a collective pharmacy, but each participant will have a small individual pharmacy according to their habits and their tolerance to certain medications.
In particular, it is advisable to bring: a roll of large elastoplast, Hydroclonazone or Micropur tablets (water purification), antidiarrheals, aspirin, vitamin C, broad-spectrum antibiotics, broad-spectrum antibiotics, sunscreen, lip stick.
