The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

Reception on Friday On the Essaouira site from 4 pm.

Meeting welcomes you at 6 p.m.

...
You are traveling with UCPA:
Flight schedules will be known a few weeks before departure.

During your stay

Your week is organized around 10 surfing sessions over 5 days.
The free day will be chosen according to the surfing conditions, and according to the energy of the group.
...
The schedules are adjusted to those of the tides, as wave conditions depend on them.
It is therefore possible to leave earlier or later, or even do a session at sunrise or sunset.

Ideally there will be a morning session, a lunch break, then an afternoon session. Sometimes the 2 sessions can be combined with a sandwich on the beach.

Example of typical days:

You start your day with breakfast (8:30 to 9:30) facing the ocean, then go to the nautical base where your instructor briefs you on wave conditions and the various organizational choices.
9:30 departure for the spot.

On the beach you start by observing the conditions with your instructor, where is the peak, what are the currents, what is the best path to position yourself.
You review the gestures to be perfected: paddling, ducking to pass the foam zone and your standing position to surf effectively. If technique is an important area of progress, you will discuss everything related to water safety (currents, respect for safety distances, etc.)

Noon: Lunch and dinner
Pic nic on the spot or in a local restaurant

Afternoon: Surf lessons
In the afternoon you go back to the water for the second session and thus strengthen your progress, at the end of the week you will gain autonomy in your area of practice.
The return to the center is around 16:00 - 17:00, which leaves some time before meeting for aperitif and dinner.

During the free day, you can optionally leave for the day in Marrakech to visit the souk of Essaouira...

Last day

End of the stay on Friday at the end of the morning.

You are traveling with UCPA: flight schedules will be known a few weeks before departure.

Hosting

Hotel Miramar

You will stay in comfortable rooms for 2 or 3 people, with private and modern bathrooms, television and internet access.
