The program

Day by day

Day of arrival

The UCPA Lumbarda site welcomes you from 6 pm.
Friday until June 7
Monday starting June 17

...
Travelling with UCPA?
Flight schedules will only be known a few weeks before departure.
Once in Dubrovnik, transfer (2.5 hours) by private and air-conditioned minivan to the pier in Orebić. Then by ferry to the island of Korcula, and by minivan to the center.

During your stay

D2 - Diving and relaxing
For your first morning of vacation, head to the diving center, a few minutes walk from the hotel.
...
The sessions are adapted according to the level of each person, whether you are a beginner or with a level 1. After a first briefing on the equipment, you go diving and discover some technical exercises to gain ease.
For lunch, you will discover some local specialties in a restaurant in Lumbarda. The afternoon is free, which will allow you to sunbathe in the pool or visit the surroundings.
In the evening, the welcome drink will be ideal for getting to know the rest of the group.

Day 3 - Hiking day with swimming in a creek
A day hike awaits you. On a circuit of 12km or 17km (course adapted depending on the heat to take advantage of the shaded areas), you crisscross the interior, through vineyards and olive trees. Lunch is served in a local inn overlooking the sea. Vegetables, meals, alcohol... everything is local. You then continue the hike to a superb, wild and preserved cove on the south coast. After a good swim, the ascent and the return by minivan, a tasting evening awaits you. In the heart of the vineyards, on the heights of the island, you dine at a local wine producer.

Day 4 - Diving and the city of Korcula
Direction the diving center again. You leave by boat in the heart of the archipelago, towards the island of Gubavac, which allows diving a little deeper (5-6 meters).
In the afternoon, after lunch in a typical restaurant, head for Korcula. With a specialized French-speaking guide, you will discover the historic and fortified city of Marco Polo. Then you can take advantage of the setting to stroll, have a coffee on the terrace or do some shopping. The return to the center is at the end of the afternoon. And the evening is free.

Day 5 - Diving day
For this 100% diving day, you reach the center in the morning. A dive on the Boka shipwreck awaits you. This 100-meter-long ship ran aground in 1979. Easily accessible since you will visit it in bottles when it is full of water. Then off to your second dive of the day, where you take the boat to dive into the open sea, among the islets. Depending on your level, you can follow the 2 dives either in the morning or in the afternoon.
At lunchtime, you take a good break in a local restaurant in Lumbarda.
- Early evening in Lumbarda, then exit to Korcula. Several buses will allow you to reach the center at the desired time.

Day 6 - Free day
During this free day, several possibilities are available to you. You can relax at the hotel pool, or explore the region on your own.
Rent a bike to travel the coast, rent a boat to navigate between the islands or rent a car to drive to the various bays of the island... , Simon will give you his advice.

Day 7 - Kayak around the islands
Let's go for a day sailing from island to island in a kayak. Among the islands you stop on, Badija is famous for its ancient monastery. You are picnicking on one of the islands, and why not take the opportunity to do a bit of snorkeling.
For your last evening, the UCPA team is waiting for you for a barbecue all together.

The course of this program is indicative and may be subject to adjustments according to technical criteria, security requirements or current weather conditions. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).

Last day

Your stay ends at 11 am.

Travelling with UCPA?
Departure from Lumbarda to join the ferry, and transfer by minivan, you arrive in Dubrovnik.
...
While waiting for your flight, if time permits, head for this city-monument, which is nicknamed the pearl of the Adriatic. It will be an opportunity to discover and visit its old town, its ramparts, its palace, etc. With its unique architecture, it has even served as a set for the filming of some mythical series.

SPOT

Lumbarda diving

The Adriatic Sea and its secrets

The translucent water of the Adriatic Sea is an invitation to scuba diving. To start, you will dive from the edge on a sandy bottom of up to 7 meters, ideal for doing the exercises and gaining confidence. The seabed around the island of Korcula is marked by its history and in particular some shipwrecks from the Second World War. Steamship Garda (wreck) On the south side of the island, near Pudarica Bay, facing Cape Raznjic, are the remains of the Italian liner Garda. Damaged by stormy weather, the ship sank in 1938 along the coast. After the Second World War, most of the ship was removed. Today, at a depth of 24 meters, on a sandy sea bed, you will find winches, cranes and large steam chimneys... Merchant ship Boka (wreck) The Boka ship sank after striking the coast of the Peljesac Peninsula in Trstenica Bay in 1981. The part above the surface has been removed, while the parts of the ship under water such as the engine, propeller, cargo spaces are now home to a multitude of fish. Rt Raznjic (Wall) At the south-eastern end of the island of Korcula is Cape Ražnjić. The dive leads to a series of walls that cascade down to a depth of more than 30 meters. Marine currents are present at the level of the cape and you will find a variety of fish.
