On snowshoes (or on foot depending on the snow), hike to the foot of Mont-Perdu, the third highest peak in the Pyrenees, through landscapes each more breathtaking than the last!
From the top of its 3355m altitude, Monte Perdido reigns over the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. At its feet, the majestic Ordesa Canyon, the incredible Mondoto viewpoint, or the splendid crests of Comodoto... so many spectacular and grandiose places, in which we will hike for a week, under the watchful eye of bearded vultures, griffon vultures and golden eagles, masters of the place.
As base camps, two warm and friendly accommodations, located on both sides of the territory, in which you will feel at home! A stay of total change of scenery, with 4 to 5 hours of daily walking, for a pleasure of every moment! Departure guaranteed for 4 participants or more.

Day by day

Day of arrival

Day 1: Reception at 2.30 pm at the SNCF train station in Pau, and transfer to the accommodation.
Presentation of the stay, and installation.

Transfer time: approximately 2.5 hours.

During your stay

Day 2: From the small village of Espierba, we start with a climb in the forest, before continuing with a superb ridge course overlooking the Liena Valley on one side, and the Pineta canyon on the other.

Continue to the peak of Comodoto, with a superb view of the north face of Monte Perdido and other great peaks of the Pyrenees (La Munia...). Back to the shelter.
Height difference: +800m/-800m. Walking time: 5 hours.

Day 3: On the flared sides of the southern slope of the Pineta Canyon, hike to Portillo de Tella, under the pretty Pic de Montinier. Wide panorama over the Cinca Valley. Visit the village of Tella, literally built as a balcony above the valley. A short loop around the village between woods and meadows to discover a succession of enchanting and extraordinary viewpoints. Back to the shelter.
Height difference: +850 m/-850m. Walking time: 5 hours.

Day 4: Nice transfer and beautiful hike on the plateaus of the lost valley of Vio, to the typical village of Nerin. Ascend to Mondoto Peak, with an exceptional panorama over the Monte Perdido massif, and above the deep abysses of the Añisclo Canyon, a true Pyrenean “Colorado”. Continuation of the trip to the village of Linas de Broto, where we return to our cozy cottage, for the next 3 nights.
Height difference: + 750m/-750m. Walking time: 5 hours.

Day 5: Short transfer then ascent to the Soaso Circus through the Arazas Canyon on the way to the waterfalls, in the heart of the Ordesa National Park. This time, we are at the bottom of the canyon, dominated by walls several hundred meters high. One of the most spectacular landscapes of the Pyrenean Massif. Return to Linas de Broto.
Height difference: +600m/-600m. Walking time: 6 hours.

Day 6: Near the village, the Pelopín peak (2007 m.), slightly set back from the massif, offers the most complete view of the Monte Perdido Massif, the Brèche de Roland, the Pic de la Telera and the Tendenera, the Pic de la Telera and Tendenera, the Aragonese sierras... and even the Vignemale! An incredible 360°! Last night in Linas de Broto.
Height difference: +700m/-700m. Walking time: 6 hours.

Last day

Day 7: after breakfast, transfer to Pau station, and dispersion.
Transfer time: approximately 2.5 hours.

End of the course from 13:00 in Pau.

The Pyrenees National Park extends over 60% of the Hautes Pyrénées. A perfect place for hiking and observing animal species. With 270 high-altitude lakes and the highest peaks in the mountain range, you can discover sites such as the Pic du Midi d'Ossau or the Cirque de Gavarnie. This idyllic place is home to an exceptional ecosystem. And of course, a multitude of mountain activities are offered: hikes everywhere, river sports in the Nestes, paragliding to reach the peaks, trail running, yoga, mountain biking... Wonder guaranteed for nature lovers.

3 nights at the Piñeta refuge, in the homonym valley, in dorms, and 3 nights in the cozy mountain inn Ultimo Bucardo, in Linas de Broto, in Linas de Broto, in dorms as well.

Winter mountain clothing: walking pants, tights, 2 fleeces, 2 fleeces, goretex jacket, 2 pairs of gloves, sunglasses, hat, hat, sunglasses, hat, plastic bags and trash cans to protect your belongings.
No ski suits for walking.
Don't forget: a flashlight or headlamp, earplugs, a personal pharmacy and a towel.
